It’s “Your” Birthday

Your Car Care REPs are back and it’s time to celebrate! That’s right it’s Your Car Care REPs birthday. It’s been one year since we’ve been blogging here with you on REP-YOUR-HOOD, and what a year it’s been. What would a celebration be without taking a drive down memory lane? So today we’re going to highlight some of “your” most memorable moments and discuss what the future has in store for REP-YOUR-HOOD. So gather around because today everyone gets a slice of cake as Your Car Care REPs continue to shake up the auto industry.

One of the things that separate Your Car Care REPs blog from other auto blogs is automotive education, information and entertainment rolled all into one. Some other auto bloggers will spew tons of mechanical details that most readers don’t understand or even care about. We take pride in providing readers with information that’s going to make you more informed and knowledgeable (or at least sound knowledgeable). In our very 1st blog article we discussed getting your car ready for the spring (click here for a refresher). It’s an appropriate read now as the spring season is upon us and warmer weather seems to be looming just miles ahead. Click here to read “Your Car Care REPs intro”.

Lets talk about some of our favorite articles. One of “your” reader’s top choices is an article in where we discussed accessories for your ride. In this article we discussed that the auto aftermarket industry is filled with tons of parts and accessories that can style your ride as well as help it perform better. It can be a daunting task to choose what products work best for you. So Your Car Care REPs gave you a hand, helping you to differentiate what works for you. Read the story “Accessories that make your Car Tight/Right” for the full article and a dosage of car styling tips that reflect your true style.

Now lets take a right turn at this next light. I sometimes can’t believe it’s the year 2011. Wooh… When I was a kid and thought about the year 2000 and beyond I would swear that we would have flying cars and “Buck Rogers” type outfits by now. No such luck with the flying cars (I’m still working on getting a pattern made for the Buck Rogers jumpsuit) but we have made some significant advancement in the Electric Vehicle Industry. Your Car Care REPs wrote two articles regarding this EV movement. “Whose in Charge” discusses what the government has done and proposing to do to speed up the process of creating a sustainable infrastructure for EV technology. Another article we wrote talked about the NY auto show of 2010. Here we discussed how all the major auto manufactures had their version of Electric Vehicles present and how the year 2010 had more spectators than ever inquiring about the technology. Read the article, “NY International Green Auto show” to gain more insight. You can always read groundbreaking news from Your Car Care REPs, because we want to keep you informed.

Speaking of breaking news, the price of a barrel of oil and the prices of gas at the pump is in the news daily. With unrest in Libya, the uncertainty in the Middle East, plus natural disasters effecting Japan, our global economy has been shaken. At the beginning of 2011 Your Car Care REPs gave you the heads up on what was to come. Read “your” article “Turn it Up” to get information on what you can do to save money on gas and on fuel usage. OK, the GPS is telling you to take a left at the next road. But trust me I know these streets better than any computer navigation ever will. Turn down this alley way right here.

One of the things that we love to do at Your Car Care REPs is travel. Especially since this is the main reason cars were designed. What intrigues us when we travel is the distinct difference in-car culture from region to region. In celebration of Independence day Your Car Care REPs wrote an article describing the unique car styles that are seen across this nation of ours. From the Low-Riders out in Cali to the flashy Whips up in NY read “The Independent Seen” to catch up on the growing car culture in various parts of the country.

OK we’re almost there just stay on the service road it’s always faster than the express lane. One of my personal favorite articles is a recent one we wrote about the Daytona 500 – the Super Bowl of Motorsports. Daytona Beach is where I spent my university years studying at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I was able to experience the thrill of the D500 1st hand. I watched this year’s race with my son. Ironically the young Trevor Bayne (not much older than my son) won this year’s Daytona 500 race. Your Car Care REPs covered the history of the Daytona 500 and discussed why so many fans love the sport. Read “Dirty Daytona 500” for more insight.

You have arrived at “Your” destination. Before we blow out the candle on the cake Your Car Care REPs want to thank some Rare Extraordinary People (REPs) for helping us reach this milestone, Charles Austin, Kenyatta “Tally” Galbreth, Gerald Poe and the rest of the staff at Gotham Jungle. MyHotWheelz.com, REP-YOUR-HOOD.com, WeGotPull.com, all the Car Care REPs that contributed their story’s for episodes of Home+Grown and of course all you readers. Thank You. We look forward to giving you more of the unexpected. Your Car Care REPs will start to include exclusive interviews with respected people in the industry as well as featured photos and video, so stay tuned. We ask that you share this and all our content with your friends and family via Facebook or Twitter. We appreciate your feedback and story ideas you can contact us at info@carcarereps.com. It’s lights out Riders, Happy Birthday.
